The purpose of this audit is to assess FFP and Cryoprecipitate ordering and usage patterns across the East of England region. Previous published audits have documented requests out of guidance and Blood Stock Management Scheme reports indicate significant variation in wastage rates nationally hence we would like to understand local practices.
In addition to data available from Blood Stocks Management Scheme we would like to obtain details of regional overall activity and practice as well as episode specific information from twenty episodes of FFP and Cryo requests from 2025.
Results from this audit will be available later in 2026.
