New: Recent Publications on Transfusion Safety and Efficiency

The National Blood Transfusion Committee (NBTC) website now hosts a small collection of recent national publications exploring transfusion safety and efficiency across the NHS.

The new section, “Overviews and Perspectives on Transfusion Safety and Efficiency”, brings together summaries and links to peer‑reviewed articles and editorials that reflect current thinking, debate and emerging opportunities in transfusion practice. These publications are intended to support awareness, discussion and system learning rather than to provide clinical guidance or direct recommendations for patient care.

The materials include perspectives from national journals that consider themes such as safety, data use, and system improvement within transfusion services, including:

By hosting these publications in one place, the NBTC aims to make it easier for colleagues across the system to access recent commentary and national overviews that may help inform local reflection and quality improvement activity.
