NW RTC Conference Funding

To streamline the process and give members more flexibility, we are introducing a Conference Funding Request Form. Whenever you identify an event, you’d like to attend, simply complete the form, and send it to Jane Murphy RTC Administrator jane.murphy@nhsnt.nhs.uk

Your request will then be reviewed by the Chair, Administrator plus one member of the Regional Transfusion Team (RTT). If your application is successful, we will invite you to share your learning at the next NW RTC meeting through a short presentation.

A few key points:

  • Funding is available up to £500 per person, covering delegate fees and travel.
  • We will no longer send out funding alerts for upcoming events — members now have the freedom to seek out opportunities themselves.
  • We’re especially keen to see applications for a broader range of transfusion‑related events, including those that may not be widely advertised.

We hope this new approach encourages members to explore a wider variety of learning opportunities.
